The popular athlete spearheading our brand

Hansgrohe SE sponsors javelin thrower Christina Obergföll. The athlete from Offenburg is multiple German champion – and is also flying high on the international scene. She became world champion at the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow. Hansgrohe is backing the top athlete in her javelin career and also in her professional commitment to health management.

“When you get the right combination of speed, technique and strength, that's when the javelin will fly.”

In 2014 Christina Obergföll, who is married to javelin thrower Boris Obergföll (formerly Henry), gave birth to a little boy. Following a short period of maternity leave, she has resumed intensive training – under the guidance of her husband – and has set her sights on a new goal: the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016. Hansgrohe is supporting her – and wishes her, and her javelin, high-flying success.

The top athlete, who is local to the area, can frequently be spotted at Hansgrohe's plants in Offenburg and Schiltach. This is because Christina is playing a key role in Hansgrohe's health management programme. Based on the theme “Less is more”, she is helping the workforce get fit and get in trim. She works actively in this area in conjunction with triathlon world champion Daniel Unger.
