Supervisory Board appoints Marc Griggel and Frank Semling as deputy members of the Executive Board

Schiltach, 26 March 2010. At its meeting held yesterday, the Supervisory Board of Hansgrohe AG, with headquarters in Schiltach/Black Forest, adopted a resolution to enlarge the company’s Executive Board. In response to a proposal by the Personnel Committee of the globally operating bathroom mixer and shower manufacturer, the Supervisory Board appointed Marc Griggel (41) and Frank Semling (43) as deputy members of the Executive Board with effect from 01 June 2010. Marc Griggel, who joined Hansgrohe as Head of Production in 2004, will be responsible for the Production Division on the Executive Board. Frank Semling, who began his vocational training with Hansgrohe AG in 1987 as a BA student majoring in Business Information Systems, will be responsible for the Business Processes/Information Technology (IT), Customer Service International (CSI) and Customer Logistics divisions. This new function on the Executive Board underscores Hansgrohe AG's pronounced customer orientation. The primary task of this function is to continue improving the processes in place with customers throughout the world.

“We consider the appointment of these two new deputy members of the Executive Board as an important step in terms of succession planning for Hansgrohe’s Executive Board,” explained Siegfried Gänßlen, CEO of Hansgrohe AG. We are quite deliberately taking this step now so that our two new colleagues on the Executive Board can join forces in systematically preparing for their tasks in the coming months. We are delighted that we were able to fill the two Board positions from the ranks of Hansgrohe's executives. This confirms our positive development of talented junior executives and shows how well positioned we are.” Gänßlen indicated that the Hansgrohe AG Supervisory Board and Executive Board were both convinced that Marc Griggel and Frank Semling were ready and able to take on their new responsibilities thanks to their competence, experience and personalities. The appointments were preceded by an intensive selection process lasting several months.
