“The pilot stays on board”

Schiltach, 15 March 2010. The Supervisory Board of Hansgrohe AG took an early decision to extend the contract of its CEO, Siegfried Gänßlen, for another three years. “Even during the crisis year 2009, Siegfried Gänßlen managed to keep our enterprise on a steady course,” said Klaus Grohe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, in explaining the decision. “We are confident that with him, Hansgrohe AG is in very safe hands. Especially during these times of economic uncertainty, we are pleased to be able to rely on his vast experience and his extraordinary competence. The pilot will therefore be remaining on board.” After 14 years of holding executive positions at the Black Forest-based mixer and shower manufacturer, Siegfried Gänßlen was appointed to succeed Klaus Grohe as CEO of the company at the end of May 2008. Together with his deputy Richard Grohe, the grandson of the company’s founder Hans Grohe, Siegfried Gänßlen, who was born in Stuttgart, will lead the globally operating bathroom and sanitation specialist until the year 2013.
