No fewer than 66 successful entries in ‘iF Design Award’

Schiltach, 02 March 2010. Not one, but three coveted ‘iF Design Awards’ will go to Hansgrohe AG, based in Schiltach/Black Forest this year. This means that the bathroom and sanitation specialist from the Black Forest will increase its tally of awards from the International Forum Design (iF) in Hanover to 66. This places Hansgrohe among the most successful entrants in this internationally renowned competition in terms of ‘good shape’, which, according to this independent, Hanover-based institution, acts as a barometer for trends in excellence in design and sets the direction for future developments. This year’s award-winning products from the Schiltach-based mixer and shower manufacturer are the Showerpipes Raindance E 420 and Raindance 240, as well as the wash basin mixer Focus E2 – all of which were created in collaboration with Hansgrohe’s long-standing development partners at Phoenix Design. The awards will be presented at the CeBIT in Hanover, which starts today. Entered into the competition among a total of 2,486 products from 39 countries, the innovations from Hansgrohe impressed the international 25-member judging panel, which rated the products according to eleven evaluation criteria, including quality of design, workmanship, degree of innovation, environmental compatibility and functionality.
