Schiltach/Frankfurt am Main, 15 February 2010. With obvious pride Richard Grohe, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Hansgrohe AG, and Tom Schönherr from Phoenix Design accepted Germany’s most important design award, ceremoniously presented to them by the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics and Technology Ernst Burgbacher. The Silver Design Award 2010 goes to the Hansgrohe Raindance Connect EcoSmart Showerpipe, an outstanding innovative and water-saving shower system comprising an overhead and a hand shower. The award, presented each year at the “Ambiente” trade fair in Frankfurt am Main, is considered the “prize of all prizes” which makes the highest demands on the participants: only products that are nominated by the federal and state economic ministries are eligible for this award.
