EcoSmart technology: great feel, great savings
Are you fed up of water and energy guzzlers in your home? Then improve your purchase decisions by choosing from our wide range of sustainable hansgrohe products. EcoSmart technology saves you huge amounts of water, energy and money by integrating efficient flow limitation into our showers, taps and toilets. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to enjoy the outstanding convenience and blissful water experiences you’re used to.
- EcoSmart showers use up to 40% less water than conventional hansgrohe showers. Those with EcoSmart+ even use up to 60% less. This means that many EcoSmart showers only use 8 l/min* and EcoSmart+ ones as little as 6 l/min* or less.
- EcoSmart basin taps reduce water consumption to around 5 l/min* while EcoSmart+ taps use even less at just 4 l/min*.
- EcoSmart toilets achieve outstanding flushing results of as little as 4.5 l* water per flush or even 3 l per flush* when pressing the small button for a short flush. (Please note that a suitable flush tank is required for this saving).

CoolStart technology: an ingenious way to save energy
Are you looking for ways to reduce both your expensive bills and your ecological footprint by saving energy in your home? We have a solution for you that is both simple and ingenious: start cool! With hansgrohe CoolStart taps, only cold water flows when the lever handle is in the middle position – unlike on standard taps where the basic position instantly uses energy. If you really need hot water, actively move the tap lever to the left. This technology prevents your pipe system from being unnecessarily filled with hot water day in, day out – saving resources and reducing both your carbon emissions and your bills.
Technologies for greater convenience
Products that feature Select technology offer outstanding ease of use: the water flow, shower or spray type can be playfully controlled at the simple touch of a button. Thermostatic mixers with CoolContact use cooling technology to prevent them from feeling too hot or even burning you.
The technologies for simple cleaning are also wonderfully convenient: if your showers and taps have dirt or limescale deposits on them, QuickClean enables you to simply rub them off with your finger. Dryphon technology makes cleaning drains easy as the powerful traps prevent hair and dirt from collecting in them. HygieneEffect enhances the hygiene of your ceramics for a pleasant bathroom environment. The specially developed, premium glazing prevents bacteria from multiplying on the products (exclusively Escherichia coli ATCC 8739 and Salmonella enterica ATCC 13076 – tested in accordance with ISO 22196:2011-08).
